#133: Savor
We all have memories sparked by this week’s prompt: savor. What’s yours?
Comments
Savor…first comment being Canadian is more a kneejerk reflex of “where’s the ‘u’?” as in savour!
The serious comment would have to do with savoring every minute. As we grow older we tend to think more of what we’ve missed or what we coulda, shoulds, might have done and I think that negates all we have done and will yet do by taking us away from savoring the moment now.
The best memories happen when we are savoring the moment. I suppose by extension the worst ones remain that way too, but considering all we learn (or hopefully learn) from those times maybe not a bad thing?
Savor means using all our senses..associating all the sound, sight, smells, touches with what is happening.
Making it real, embracing it all. An affirmation I use speaks to this notion:
I live in the present moment by being grateful for all my life experiences, as a child.
Another I particularly want to savor today is:
As a child of God I am an infinite being, the age of my body has no bearing on what I do or who I am.
Thanks Kathie!
I love what Kathie said. I agree wholeheartedly!
