A new home for Weekly Anamnesis

Participants will no doubt have noticed that lately Weekly Anamnesis has been something less than weekly. Due to other obligations (plus the pesky fact that administration often replaces other forms of action), the former proprietor asked me to take over (so that she may return to the writing). In the process, a few changes have been introduced.

First, you’ll notice that Weekly Anamnesis has its own domain, so no more Blogger (not that there’s anything wrong with that). If you use bookmarks of any sort, please update.

If you’ve been subscribed to the Blogger feed, please update to http://feeds.feedburner.com/WeeklyAnamnesis. Or you may prefer to sign up for e-mail updates in the sidebar.

I’ve created a comments feed but am having some trouble implementing it. Comments, of course, are where you tell the rest of us when you’ve written your weekly anamnesis and are thus an important part of the community.

There are a couple of other ways you could monitor comments. Once you’ve posted a link to your post in the comments section of a post, you have the option of being notified (by e-mail) of new comments. You could also choose to set up an account at co.mments. Once you’ve installed the bookmarklet and subscribed to your personal feed, it’s a simple matter to keep up with what’s new. I’ve personally used co.mments for a while now and have been satisfied with its performance.

Suggestions for other ways to monitor comments are welcome.

The import process left a few things undone that will be corrected as time passes. All links to your posts have been lost and will have to be manually updated (I’d be grateful for offers of help, but not if they’ll get in the way of your writing). Currently, it looks like Kelly’s done all the work around here (when all I’ve done is set up this site), so I’ll also be updating the author links to reflect who actually wrote the original posts. Eventually, I’ll shut down the Blogger site.

In addition to taking on the administrative duties here at Weekly Anamnesis, I blog at kangmi and Ginkgo Dreams and have just opened up shop at Hints and Guesses, my personal blog. I like a bit of writing myself and hope to share some of my own memories as time permits. My hope is that Weekly Anamnesis will once again be a thriving community of writers.

You may see some other activity here in the next couple of days, but the real fun begins with the first prompt of the year. Clean the crumbs out of your keyboards and expect to see it up on Monday morning.
